About me
Ashley has a B.A in Psychology with a focus on Early Childhood Education. She attended University of Maine and graduated with a M.Ed in Special Education. Throughout her career, she has spent time as a Special Education Ed Tech, a Second Grade Teacher, a K-8 Special Education Teacher, and a First Grade and Kindergarten Teacher. Ashley also spent four years working in the nonprofit sector, working as a Resource Coach within the TREE (Trauma Responsive Equitable Education) Research Project that was piloted in three Washington County Schools. Pieces of this model have since been replicated here in Maine and as far as California. Ashley is the 2024 Washington County Teacher of the Year and is currently the Kindergarten Teacher at Harrington Elementary School where she is piloting Montessori within her classroom.
